Rosedale is beautifully set - in a central Toronto location, close to Yonge and Bloor, with the shopping, dining and public transport, and yet separated from the busy city life by lush ravines. Rosedale's mansions were built between 1860 and 1930, and many of them are classified as heritage properties.
Forest Hill: prestigious, with great schools
Forest Hill is one of Toronto's most prestigeous neighbourhoods. Its large mansions are shaded by majestic trees and its gardens carefully maintained. Forest Hill excellent schools have a country-wide reputation, and include Upper Canada College, a private boys' school, and Bishop Strahan, a private school for girls.
Summerhill is bisected by a prestigious stretch of Yonge Street, and the neighbourhood enjoys great access to fine shopping and dining, and easy 'hop on the subway' way to get downtown to financial and entertainment districts. Many of Summerhill residences date to the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Lawrence Park is home to wealthy Toronto families, and is regarded as the most family-friendly of Toronto's high end neighbourhoods, with excellent scholls, and quiet streets shaded by mature trees. The neighbourhood is sheltered from the busy traffic on Yonge street by parks, and bordered by Blythwood Ravine, Sherwood Park and Sunnydene Park. Generous lots allow for large residences and gardens.
