Bennington Heights is a small, exclusive neighbourhood, surrounded by nature, bordered on the west by Moore Park ravine, on the south by the railway corridor, on the east by Don Valley ravine and on the north by Moore Avenue and Mount Pleasant Cemetery. These boundaries protect the neighbourhood from traffic passing through, allowing the residents to enjoy its tranquillity.
Bennington Heights homes date from 1920s and 1930s (English Manor style residences) and from later 1940s and 1950s (Cottage style). Most properties on the perimeter of the neighbourhood back onto ravines. Generous lot sizes provide ample space for landscaped front yards and manicured gardens.
Large grocery store, pharmacy and a bank are just minutes away at the corner of Bayview and Moore, and a short drive or bus ride north on Bayview takes the residents to fantastic shopping and dining in the Leaside shopping district. Another short bus ride connects the community with St.Clair subway.
Two tennis courts of the Bennington Heights Tennis Club are located in Bennington Park, at the east side of the neighbourhood. A short walk takes you to the Moore Park Ravine trail, and through the Belt Line Trail to Don Valley Brick Works Park. Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with its diverse trees and plants, and paved roads with little car traffic, is also a popular location to enjoy nature walks.
