House improvement ideas - retractable door and window screens

A recent development in home renovation, retractable screens from Mirage work wonderfully with French doors. Instead of having to use screen doors in addition to the regular entry door, patio door or sliding glass door, this unique design allows the screen to retract and be virtually out of sight when not in use.

The same design can also be used for windows, where the screens can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. The screen rolls away, when the window is closed, to offer an unobstructed view. In contrast to regular, widely available window screens, the retractable screen does not get as dirty, being rolled into its casing when the windows or doors are closed.
